BuildCareer.PRO (“BuildCareer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides AI-assisted career, resume, job-match, application-management, cover-letter, and recruiter-simulation tools.

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit https://buildcareer.pro, create an account, upload a resume, use our career tools, communicate with us, submit feedback, or purchase a subscription.

By using BuildCareer, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the service.

We collect information in the following categories.

When you create an account, we may collect:

• your name;
• email address;
• authentication and email-verification status;
• account creation date;
• subscription plan and billing status;
• account preferences and settings.

Passwords are handled by our authentication provider. BuildCareer personnel cannot view your password.

You may provide information such as:

• skills;

• professional designations;
• projects;
• career goals;
• preferred roles;
• location preferences;
• salary preferences;
• professional links;
• other information you choose to include in your Career Profile.

When you upload or create career documents, we may process:

• resume files;
• extracted resume text;
• structured resume information;
• job descriptions;
• job titles, company names, locations, and job links;
• job-match results;
• application records;
• tailored resume versions;
• cover letters;
• recruiter-simulation results;
• edits and generated document content.

Do not include information that is unnecessary for career-related use, such as government identification numbers, banking credentials, medical records, or highly sensitive personal information.

We may collect limited technical and product-usage information, including:

• pages and features used;
• feature events;
• approximate timestamps;
• browser and device information;
• IP address and general network information;
• error events;
• performance and diagnostic information;
• referral or campaign information where available;
• session and authentication events.

We do not intentionally use this information to make employment decisions about you.

When you contact support or submit feedback, we may collect:

• feedback category and rating;
• screenshots or recordings you choose to provide;

BuildCareer does not receive or store your complete card number, CVV, online-banking password, or UPI PIN.

• extract and structure information from uploaded documents;
• provide AI-assisted analysis and generated content;
• save your work and preferences;

• send account, security, verification, reset, billing, and service-related communications;
• provide customer support;
• diagnose errors and improve reliability;
• understand which product features are useful;
• prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• comply with legal obligations;
• enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your resume or Career Profile to employers, recruiters, data brokers, or advertisers.

BuildCareer uses third-party AI providers to support features such as:

• resume parsing and analysis;
• job-description analysis;
• resume bullet rewriting;
• cover-letter generation;
• recruiter simulations;
• related career recommendations.

Relevant portions of the information you submit may be sent to an AI provider when needed to perform the feature you request.

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for a particular job. You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated material before using or submitting it.

We do not authorize AI providers to use your information for unrelated advertising on our behalf. Their handling of information is also subject to their applicable contractual terms and privacy practices.

Do not use BuildCareer to process confidential information belonging to another person or organization unless you have permission to do so.

We process information where necessary to:

• provide the service you request and perform our agreement with you;
• operate, secure, and improve BuildCareer;
• comply with legal obligations;
• protect users, BuildCareer, and others from fraud, abuse, or harm;
• act on your consent where consent is required.

The specific legal basis may depend on your location and the context in which information is processed.

We use service providers to operate BuildCareer. Depending on the feature used, these may include providers for:

• hosting and infrastructure;
• authentication, database, and file storage;
• artificial intelligence;
• payment processing;
• transactional email;
• product analytics;
• feedback and support;
• error monitoring and application security.

The current expected provider list is:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage;
• OpenAI or the configured OpenAI-compatible AI provider — AI-assisted processing;
• Razorpay — subscription and payment processing;
• Userback — user feedback;
• PostHog — product analytics, when enabled;
• the configured SMTP or transactional-email provider — delivery of account emails.

BuildCareer may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies for:

• authentication and session continuity;
• security;
• remembering user settings;
• storing preferences such as display currency;
• maintaining product functionality;
• measuring product usage where analytics is enabled.

We do not use cookies to sell personal information.

Where required by applicable law, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

We may share information:

• with service providers that help us operate BuildCareer;
• when you direct us to perform a feature that requires processing;
• to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests;

Use of BuildCareer from another country may result in information being processed in locations with different data-protection laws.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• enforce agreements;
• prevent fraud and abuse.

Account and career information may be retained while your account remains active.

Some information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or fraud-prevention records after account deletion. Information that must be retained for legal, accounting, billing, or security reasons may be kept for the applicable retention period.

You may request account deletion or another privacy-related action by using available account controls or contacting support@buildcareer.pro.

Depending on applicable law and the nature of your request, you may have rights to:

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, database-security controls, and restricted administrative access.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your password, devices, and account access.

Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

BuildCareer may include links to job postings, employer websites, professional profiles, or other third-party services.

We do not control those services and are not responsible for their privacy practices, content, or security.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the service, law, or our practices.

We will update the “Last updated” date when changes are made. Where required, we will provide additional notice.

Your continued use after an updated policy becomes effective means the revised policy applies to future use, subject to applicable law.
